Little but she tallawah . . .
If you're a fan of floral, then this soap is for you. Our jasmine perfume is deeply ravishing with a powdery top note and a long finish. We've warmed the floral with a few drops of cedarwood and patchouli, so that scrubbing up with this bar is a plunge into sultriness.
The vine blooms at night, and that's when the tiny flowers emit the concentrated perfume. It's also known as --ahem-- the "Queen of the Night" in the West Indies.
Our Sargasso Botanica soaps begin with a base of coconut butter + aloe vera. To this, we add olive oil, mango butter, and wildcrafted Amazonian murumuru butter.
'Tallawah' is Jamaican patois for something like 'full of life'. It's in the lyrics of one of my favourite old reggae tunes (1970s), "Miss Wire Waist" by Carl Malcolm.
