Bathsheba Sargasso Botanica soap
The soul-stirring beauty of Bathsheba, Barbados
For us, this is the idyll. A gorgeous country hillside sweeps down to a small seaside village. A beach greeting you with tousled surf, giant scattered boulders, and clear cool streams of water from the hill above. Nothing between you and the other side of the Atlantic.
We've imagined the Bathsheba scent as a 'sweet air', much like the one described by Ferdinand in The Tempest, after he wakes up, shipwrecked on a beautiful and enchanted island, lured by unearthly 'sweet' music.
Now back to the soap! We've swirled in extracts of three Atlantic seaweeds, including Sargassum, harvested in Brazil, to infuse the bar with beneficial minerals.
Our Sargasso Botanica soaps begin with a base of coconut butter + aloe vera. To this, we add olive oil, mango butter, and wildcrafted Amazonian murumuru butter.
The Bathsheba bar is enriched with seaweed extract. This scent is exclusive to Sargasso.
Act 1, Scene 2 of The Tempest, by William Shakespeare:
Where should this music be? i' the air or the earth?
